In today's technologically advanced world, our homes are becoming smarter and more connected than ever before. Your Simply Bread oven is no exception! This is why, when designing the oven, we included the option to connect it to Wi-Fi. 

‍

Connecting your oven to Wi-Fi will allow you to take advantage of the frequent software updates that we send out with added new features, as well as allow us to be able to give you the best technical support possible. We will also be releasing an app very soon with even more exciting features and functionality, so be sure to have your oven online to be able to take advantage of that too!

The purpose of our "Oven How-To's" blog article series is to help you maximize your Simply Bread oven experience. We are aware that connecting a kitchen appliance to your Wi-Fi network can seem complex; this is why we created today's guide.

Below are two video tutorials to guide you through the process. We have also carefully written each of the steps you will need to follow, and will be guiding you through them. By following these, the process will appear quick and simple!

Whether you're a culinary enthusiast seeking a seamless cooking experience or someone looking to embrace the convenience of smart technology, connecting your oven to Wi-Fi opens up a world of possibilities. So let's get started

S T E P #1

‍

First, you will want to access the settings menu of your oven, by pressing and holding the C/F knob located on the right side of your oven panel.

S T E P #2

‍

Once you’re in the main settings menu, rotate the knob clockwise to scroll down to "WiFi". Once this section is highlighted, press the C/F knob to select it.

‍

S T E P #3 

‍

Your display will now show you 4 different options. Rotate the knob to scroll down to “Config via Hotspot” and press the knob to select it.

S T E P #4

‍

Your oven display should now display "WiFi - Hotspot Enabling". During this step, your oven is creating a WiFi hotspot. This may take a few seconds.

S T E P #5

‍

When your display switches and displays "Wifi - Hotspot Connect to www.sbo-hotspot.com",  your oven’s hotspot is now active and you are ready to move on to your phone to complete the process.

S T E P #6 

Leave your oven as it is, and open your mobile device. Go to "Settings", and select "WiFi". Turn on your WiFi and look for a network that starts with “sbo” and finishes with “hotspot”. Click on it to connect to it.

S T E P #7

If you are using an Android device, you may get a message stating that "internet may not be available". If this is the case, select the option "Connect only this time".

S T E P #8

‍

Now that you are connected to your oven's WiFi hotspot, open your internet browser and navigate to “www.sbo-hotspot.com”. Tip: This page may open automatically if you are using an Apple device. This will take you to a page, like the one you see above. Click on the "WiFi Networks" field, and select your home WiFi network from the drop down list. Then, enter your WiFi password and click "Connect".

If the process was successful, after a few seconds your oven display will show "Wifi - Hotspot Successful". 

‍
